From August 1, 2024 the city of Venice will introduce a new regulation, aimed at better managing tourist flows within the city and neighboring islands.
Therefore, in the historic center of Venice and on the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, for the protection of residents and for better pedestrian mobility, the maximum number of members for groups of visitors accompanied by Tourist Guides will never be allowed to exceed 25 people.

Furthermore, the new regulation also requires the use of earphones to listen to the explanation of the visit for all groups of 10 or more people.
To Tour Leaders or Guides is prohibited the use of any voice amplification tool.

Failure to comply with these new rules entails fines of up to a maximum of € 500.
We remind you that this new regulation is added to the one already in place regarding the Entry Fee (5 euro per person), in force since 25 April 2024 and active in an experimental form until Sunday 14 July 2024 for all entries from 8.30am to 4.00pm .
